Q)I’ve found the perfect role and I’d like to apply quickly! Can’t I just email my CV?
We’d like to make sure that your application doesn’t get lost in cyber-space, that’s why all CV’s must go through our tracking system. This means we can keep a close eye on the progress of your application – ensuring the path to your perfect job runs smoothly.
Q)I’ve read you’re going to pre-screen me. What does this mean?
It’s nothing to worry about! This just means we’ll give you a call to have a chat prior to processing your application. We’ll run through your previous experience to get a better idea of you as a person, and how you might fit within the team. It’ll also help answer any questions you might have about the role and what it’s like to work here.
Q)If I am rejected for a role, when can I apply again?
Firstly, if you’re rejected for a role, don’t take it to heart. We’ll always feedback to you how the interview went and how you might be able to develop your skills. Always take this feedback on board – it will benefit you for any future job application, either with Sofology or elsewhere. If you would like to reapply, we will accept an application 6 months after your initial one was made
Q)I am really nervous about an interview – any tips?
It’s natural – relax! You’re bound to be nervous but honestly there is no need. We’re a really friendly bunch and we’ll guide you through every stage of the process. If you are feeling a little nervous before your interview or assessment, don’t worry – once you get here, you’ll realise this is a fun and enjoyable place to be. And if you need any reassurance, we’re on hand to answer any questions.
Q)When will I find out if I have got the job?
We will always feedback as soon as we possibly can – sometimes there might be a bit of a delay if we have multiple interviews to complete. While waiting, always feel free to give us a call for an update. We won’t keep you waiting in the dark.
Q)Right to Work – what does that mean?
Anyone who would like to work in the United Kingdom needs to prove his or her right to work. When we invite you in for an interview we will ask you to bring in some relevant documents so we can verify your right to work. This is usually a passport, a birth certificate with evidence of your NI number or a valid work VISA. If you are in doubt, please feel free to give us a call. An offer of employment cannot be made without your eligibility, so please don’t forget to bring it with you.
Q)I have been offered a job with Sofology – what happens next?
Congratulations! We can’t wait to have you on board. Once we’ve given you a call and offered you the job, you’ll receive a digital copy of your offer letter, followed by your starter pack through the post. This will include a copy of your offer letter, your contract of employment and a few other bits and pieces that will tell you about life at Sofology. Behind the scenes, we’ll be working towards your orientation period and getting things ready for your first day. Where possible, we’ll arrange for you to come in and meet your new team to ensure that you have the best possible start to your new career.
